Jadeite, one of the two jades
Jadeite is a distinct mineral commonly called jade; the other jade material is nephrite. Knowing which material a bangle is made from is a useful first step when learning about jade.
Jadeite is appreciated in many colors and appearances. When you explore a bangle, look closely at its color, pattern, translucency, surface, profile, and measurements. These visual details help you compare pieces, but appearance alone cannot confirm a stone’s identity, origin, or treatment.
Two regional groupings in our collection
Our jadeite bangles are currently grouped into Guatemalan and Kazakh collections. Product descriptions in the Guatemalan group include blue and blue-green looks, such as Celestial Blue and Princesa Blue, alongside grey-green and blue-grey tones. In the Kazakh group, current listings describe natural and pale green, green-and-white, mottled green, and saturated green appearances.
These are descriptions of pieces currently represented in our collection, not rules for every jadeite stone from either region. For a particular bangle, use its own product details and supporting documentation for material, origin, and treatment information.

How to read a bangle in the light
Light changes how jadeite looks. Hold a bangle near a window and you may see its translucency, whether light glows softly through the stone or rests on its surface. Look at it again in shade, where color and pattern often read differently. Our photos show each piece in consistent light, but seeing it in your own space is part of getting to know it.

Choosing your size
The inner diameter matters most for a bangle. It has to pass over the widest part of your hand, not just your wrist. Each listing gives its inner measurement in millimeters. Compare it to a bangle you already own, or measure around your hand with the thumb tucked in, and check our Bangle Sizing Guide before you choose.

Profiles, explained
A half-round bangle is flat on the inside and curved on the outside, so it sits comfortably against the wrist. A square-edge bangle has crisper lines and a more architectural look. Neither is better. It depends on how you want the piece to feel.
Living with jadeite
Take your bangle off before sports, heavy lifting, or anything where it could hit a hard surface. Clean it with lukewarm water and a soft cloth, and store it apart from other jewelry so nothing scratches it.

Why shop our jadeite bangles?
- Compare individual character. Browse different colors, patterns, and finishes instead of relying on a single idea of what jadeite should look like.
- Find a shape and size that suits you. Our listings include different profiles and measurements, so check each product’s dimensions before choosing.
- Explore two regional groupings. Compare the pieces presented in our Guatemalan and Kazakh collections, while judging each bangle on its own details.
- Make an informed choice. Review the individual product listing for its specific measurements and material, origin, and treatment information, and look for supporting documentation where available.
Take your time comparing the photos and details. The right bangle is the one whose color, profile, and fit feel right to you.
